Hi Friend,

I hope you are already as excited as we are about the Week of Giving. I wanted to make sure you are on the same page with us.

I recently had to do some medical checkups, and I know you know how it feels. Answering the same questions repeatedly, filling out a million forms, and running through countless tests. Everything turned out fine for me this time, but sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes everything feels routine...

Until there are more tests than usual. And then the questions get pointed. And then those questions turn into news, and the tables turn, and you are asking all the questions.

And suddenly, nothing is routine anymore, and you need someone to call to just be there.

It's the same with Queen Louise Home. Every day, we have our routines. We get ready for school, we eat breakfast, we wash dishes, we fold clothes, we go to tutoring, we do homework. And it all feels routine. Until we get a phone call, or an unfamiliar car pulls in our yard. Then nothing is routine anymore and we need someone to call to be there.

Who is your lifeline? Who is the person you can always depend on to help you in a really messed up situation where you need a quick excuse or escape? Who always happens to be in the right place exactly when you need help?

Our Week of Giving is all about Queen Louise Home for Children. This is your chance to be the lifeline for children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned.

Since the pandemic began, our focus has been on sheltering the children and keeping them as healthy as possible. Because of their families' circumstances, their own emotional sensitivities, and the challenges they have already faced, our routines are what they can count on. Even minor changes in their routines can increase their risk of depression or heighten their anxiety. That's why we're calling on you.

They need you. We need you. We want to continue giving our children the best; because they deserve it. And you can give that to them.

Your family, friends, coworkers, running group, poker buddies, golf league, and everyone you know are all going to help you make a difference during the Week of Giving. Start spreading the word now so they will all be ready to support you.

Thanks for being you. We would not be able to love and care for our children without you, and you are giving our mission extra motivity .
